Heroes Agency Instructor Spotlight

Officer Adrian Nunez California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation California State Prison, Corcoran

Adrian started at the Department of Corrections in 2001, and has worked as a Correctional Officer at Corcoran his whole career. In 2022, he was T4T certified and began instructing both Wellness and Stress Resiliency and Heroes Active Bystandership weekly. He says, “I feel very passionate and excited about teaching the Heroes curriculum with the team of instructors we have at Corcoran. Heroes is a much-needed positive curriculum in the Department of Corrections because it gives us the tools and tactics to successfully intervene and change the culture of the department.”

We are so happy to have Adrian as part of the Heroes Agency instructional team! He was a wonderful addition to CDCR’s Cohort 12 and approaches the Heroes curriculum with heartfelt sincerity and the confidence that this can improve his colleagues’ lives. We know he will have a big impact on the positive culture of active bystandership within CDCR.
