Heroes Active Bystandership Training is a culture shift program:

A commitment to excellent training that best equips your  personnel with the knowledge and skills to fulfill their legal and ethical duty to intervene. It’s an expression of integrity, courage, and loyalty, and works to create a healthy agency culture where intervention is expected, encouraged, and accepted.

Public safety and healthcare professionals rarely work alone. Every shift is built on teamwork, trust, and shared responsibility. Active Bystandership Training teaches personnel how to recognize situations where intervention is needed—and how to step in effectively to prevent harm.

Public safety agencies and healthcare organizations face enormous responsibility. Your personnel operate in unpredictable environments where decisions must be made quickly and under pressure. Without a culture that supports intervention, risks increase for everyone involved.

Active Bystandership Training

Everyone can commit everyday acts of heroism with active bystandership. The Heroes curriculum is based on Georgetown Law’s Active Bystandership for Law Enforcement (ABLE) Project and has been adapted for Corrections, Fire & Rescue and Health Care. Active bystandership is a skill that can be learned. The Heroes Active Bystandership Training Program is not just training; it is a culture shift program firmly grounded in the values of courage, loyalty and integrity.
